Pavilion Regatta is a conceptual design to transform the courtyard of a famous hotel designed by architect Lars Sonck in Hanko into a multipurpose space suitable for dining, seminar and musical events. The courtyard is covered by wooden arches and a roof made out of CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber) elements. The green roof of the pavilion is planted with grass, moss and wild flowers. Using CLT construction, the pavilion can be erected quickly, is environmentally sustainable, and allows for a light connection to the existing protected hotel building.
