Hangö Folkia center functions as a lunch restaurant, accommodation facility, and rental event venue. The historic school building, constructed in 1906, is a log structure of approximately 1000 square meters and has undergone multiple renovations over the years.
Our task was to design a renovation plan, which included relocating the restaurant from the adjacent office building to the school building and designing a new extension to replace a part of the building damaged by mold. The new extension was planned to include accommodation rooms and the building was designed to be fully accessible.
