The attic of a 19th-century villa was taken into use in the 1930s and later insulated in 1980 without proper ventilation gaps. As a result, the roof structures had to be replaced, and the attic was re-insulated with flax insulation and breathable fiberboard, finished with lining paper. The old wooden floors were painted with linseed oil paint. Custom-made plywood furniture was designed for the attic to maximize the use of even the lowest spaces. The attic provides access to a balcony built above the glass veranda, as well as a bridge leading to the rocky landscape.
