The Finlandia Prize for Architecture is awarded annually, this year for the 13th time. The purpose of the prize is to promote the appreciation of high-quality architecture and to highlight the importance of architecture in generating cultural value and increasing well-being, as well as to attract broad-based interest in Finnish architecture. Each year, a pre-selection jury chooses a shortlist of projects, and a prominent individual outside the field of architecture chooses the winner. This year’s winner chosen by Timo Miettinen, a prominent academic specialising in European philosophy and politics, will be announced on October 5th.
